I remember my first wetsuit. It was a gift for my 20th birthday. A colourful, 3/4 Roxy steamer designed in collaboration with Kassia Meador. I loved that wetsuit, from the vibrant design to the quality of the neoprene, it lasted me a good 3-4 years and many, many cold water surfs while living in Europe!

Having grown up near warm water my entire life without the need for anything more then a bikini, it was a welcome gift to help me brave the cold waters of France while I was studying at university. I remember the rubber feeling so soft, and being so surprised at how much mobility I had for paddling.

SATIN CAPSULE 3:2 FRONT ZIP STEAMER:

Good for:Long water sessions where warmth and flexibility are key. Front zip means you’re practically sealed into your suit with very few ways for water to trickle in. The front zip entry system with speed zip (that’s what we call the magnet feature) means there’s no fussing around to find the zipper.

With all components of this suit made with the highest technology, the Satin collection’s front zip steamer has all the bells and whistles you’d expect from a performance wetsuit. The Stretch Flight 2 technology and glide skin seal ensure you stay warm enough with a full range of motion through the shoulders and hips. The seam technology around your wrists, ankles and neck make sure there is minimal water seeping into your wetsuit, keeping you dry well into your session.

SATIN CAPSULE 3:2 BACK ZIP STEAMER:

Good for:Easy to slide into, this style is identical to the one above. The main difference being the back-zip feature with an adjustable neck closure and extra panel (aptly named the hydro shield water barrier) that creates a secure and water tight seal, meaning there’s little to no chance of any cold water trickling down your back.

Use this if:You need a little less fuss then an over-the-head wetsuit and love the freedom of a back zip.

With all components of this suit made with the highest technology, the Satin collection’s front zip steamer has all the bells and whistles you’d expect from a performance wetsuit, with the same features as the 3:2 Front Zip Steamer.

Style: Same as above, the Satin front body panel creates a sheen and figure-hugging illusion, emphasising the female form but with the easy entry of a back zip. It will be a little less warm than your over the head zip system though.

Good for:Those warm summer days where you still need a little something.
Use this:If you’re feeling a little cheeky and want to tan your legs.

This is actually a personal favourite of mine, perfect for the in-between months when spring/summer is creeping up, but the water is still catching up!

Fit/Flexibility: The mid-thigh bottoms still offers just as much range of motion as the bikini spring suit, with the added bonus of keeping your upper legs warm.
