The Best Places to Stay in Bingin, Bali

Bali is a very special place to me. Year after year as I return to this whimsical little island in Indonesia, it always leaves me with a new sense of appreciation. The Bukit is one of the most picturesque, peaceful and ideal areas to visit, and really shouldn’t be missed. Filled with perfect waves, delicious cafes, affordable, good quality spas and not to mention amazing accomodation, there really isn’t a day that goes wasted.

On my last trip, I had the pleasure of planning my stays with the wonderful Bali Retreats.

Lorraine, the owner, was so great at finding me new and beautiful accomodation, not to mention fill me in on the new cafes and things to do around the area. My 2 week girl trip was filled with soulful food, glorious spa days, salty surf sessions and, of course, relaxing yoga classes. Here were a couple of my favourite places to stay, eat, spa and retreat :

Where to Stay

Bingin Mimpi

This villa is huge! Perfect for families with kids or just a big group of friends. The outdoor living room and kitchen were my favourite, as was the lengthy pool we got to cool down in everyday. Conveniently located behind the delicious Cashew Tree cafe, the location was perfect, as were the friendly staff and simple, beautiful rooms. One of my top favourite stays for sure!

Fraser Baye

The girls and I had such an amazing time at Fraser Baye. Staff were absolutely gorgeous as they made us breakfast everyday and tended to anything we needed. Just behind the cliffs of Bingin, you can walk down to the beach in just a few minutes, or hop on a scooter and head for Uluwatu in just a couple of minutes. Great location and amazing rooms. Can recommend for couples or families too.

Oasis Bungalows

Oasis Bungalows was my last and final stay before heading to home, and it was a perfect place for me to chill out solo and gather my thoughts and things. The set of bungalows are quaint and perfect for couples. The pool and luscious gardens really add to the vibe. All within walking distance of Cashew Tree cafe and the beach down below the cliff. Definitely recommend if you’re traveling solo or with a partner!

Hurry Slowly

If you know me, you know I rave about Hurry Slowly, and pretty much stay there every time I get the chance. It has a special place in my heart, and very few views on this planet make me as happy as this one. The owners, Noelle and Dave, along with their staff, are a friendly, welcoming couple that are always there to answer any questions. The house is tasteful, understated and truly my favourite on the Bukit. The luxury of stepping outside and walking down the stairs to the beach is one of the best feelings. Especially if you’re a surfer, you’ll appreciate being able to check the surf directly from your own garden!

Where to Spa

Not a day went by where I didn’t go for a little pampering! Bali is incredible for the quality and affordability of their spas. Make sure you don’t leave without getting at least one facial, massage, and everything or anything else you may need. Some of the best treatments in the world are here!

Esthetic

USpa

Lanikea Spa

Tip : All these places take bookings via Whatsapp so make sure to stop by and get their number or message them via their instagram!

Where to Eat

There is so much delicious food in Bali, it was hard not to go to the same place everyday. You really want to eat everything twice! From Vegans, Vegeterians, meat lovers or indonesian food enthusiasts, there really is something to please everyone.

Cashew Tree

Kelly’s Warung

Manau Uluwatu

Bukit Cafe

Drifter Bali

Casa Asia

Where to Stretch

There are a few yoga places in and around the Bukit, but I really only ever go to these two for the views and quality of their teachers!
