Where you at, inspo?

Oh, that flow ... oh shit, where did it go ?

Hey, you’re not perfect. And neither am I.

We have moments of mental blocks. Moment of dry, nothingness in all things motivation or inspiration.  Heck, it's taken me two weeks just to write this post.

And sometimes that's alright.

Sometimes we have good days, sometimes we have bad days. Sometimes we have those seemingly never ending “yes!”  moments where it’s all just happening — other times, we feel like it’s all in stand still, more like a "SERIOUSLY?! What’s the point in even trying?!” moment.

It happens to the best of us, and the best part is, it never really sticks around for too long.

I think one of the most important things I’ve learnt with this year is that success is a series of small, consistent wins, rather then one big breakthrough. You’ve just gotta keep coming back at it. Like hacking away at a big, thick stone wall with a pickax.”

You know when you have a cold and you look back in regret at all those times you didn't have one, and took it for granted?  Or moments when you were bursting with ideas and couldn't stop writing, creating, producing.... you sort of took it all for granted, not thinking about that time you had 0 inspiration?

It comes and goes. You had it, you lost it. You had it again, and lost it again. It's the beauty of the whole creative process, and you should fall in love with it.

It kind of reminds me of one of my favourite Fleetwood mac songs, "Dreams".  Listen to it, you'll get what I'm saying.

I don’t care if you hit a wall, don’t wanna keep going or are currently flailing your hands in the air thinking ‘f**ck it'.

You come back tomorrow, pick yourself up, push down that wall, and make your own magic.

Do your own flow.

It’s in there, in you. You’ve got it all, always have, always will.

Now show me what you got.
